Community Web, a provider of web hosting services that support volunteer neighborhood organizations, announces significant new functionality that gives neighborhoods, PTAs and other volunteer groups more security and additional functionality to make volunteer life easier.
Bethesda, MD – March 21, 2005 – Today, Community Web, a provider of web hosting services that support volunteer neighborhood organizations announces several new software functions which extend the capabilities of its community website offering.
Enhancements to membership, dues, and directory module:
Now community administrators can search dues status of members by type of payment (credit card, check, or unpaid). The resulting search result can be emailed with a reminder to pay dues, or a thank you note.
Financial and editing functions are now separated by different user types, limiting access to financial data, while allowing for more editors to help keep the site up to date.
Organizations can use of financial management system without excepting credit cards to make volunteer transitions easy, and allow easy user access to their dues status.
A stand-alone children’s directory can now be generated with a mouse click. Children may also be shown with parents in the full directory.
Enhancements to security:
Community Web now encrypts key parts of users personal information to try to prevent unauthorized access.
Other improvements:
The community administrator can now easily change the home page graphic.
Email groups now keep track of past messages so list members can keep up with the latest news. Users can also now pick which group members to include in their messages, instead of having to mail the entire group.
Guides listings have been expanded by hundreds of new listings. The search interface has been graphically improved to make it easier to understand so that users can quickly find the family event, local service, or local destination that they wish to obtain.
